Kelsey | UA Senior

Kelsey and I became friends last semester when we realized that we had several classes together: 2 of which being film and digital photography. Considering that we  saw each other everyday, we quickly became really great friends. She’s a Texas girl. Loves the Rangers and Alabama football. She’s graduating in just a couple weeks and moving to the Big Apple! Yep, she’s going to New York City to pursue her career in fashion editing. She even started her own little blog that covers everything from fashion week to recent happenings in sports! Check it out! Needless to say she’s a traveler! She even made the road trip to New Orleans with me to go to the National Championship in January. I am so grateful for her friendship and I am so excited for her to take over NYC and represent the South!

We got together a little over a week ago for a quick senior shoot. It was 100% overcast ridiculously windy, which made for some “wind blown” pictures. Too bad that’s not what we were going for. During the couple minutes of stillness we got some great shots. Of course, the candid black and white ones are my fav. Enjoy! Roll Tide!

    Woodruff Wedding

DISCLAIMER: Prepare yourself. There are tons of pictures. You may be scrolling for days!

Two weekends ago I had the pleasure of being a part of Bud and Alex’s wedding day. They have known each other for quite a while and are super comfortable around each other. They are so cute together, stealing kisses and smiling at each other when no one else is looking (except my camera). They opted for a more traditional route of wedding photography. It was classic and flawless. The ceremony was over before anyone could get settled in and the party continued at The Loft. We spent the rest of the night dancing, singing, and laughing together. Yes, you read that correctly I do a lot of dancing, singing, and laughing while holding my camera above my head and snapping away. So here you have it: an in-depth look into the Holmes/Woodruff wedding day festivities. Congrats you too! Thanks for being so great to me! Your families are wonderful and I know you will have a long happy life together! Stress and drama free. 🙂

As we are heading outside for additional portraits of the bride and groom, I hear a loud thud. It was Alex falling down the stairs. I turned around to find a perfectly composted, glowing bride who happened to be photo ready. I mean, who falls down the stairs and looks this good at the bottom. Alex does. Result:

I normally don’t show family portraits in my sneak peeks, but this one is special to the Holmes family. Just recently, they lost their sweet grandmother. I hope they will cherish the last photos they have with her! Help them pray for comfort and peace during this hard time.

Throughout the day, we all cracked up and let loose behind the scenes and in between shots. Some of our outtakes were my favorite pictures!  Gotta love sibling rivalry!

    Here comes the bride!

After the ceremony, we hurried to the reception. Let the party begin.

Father-daughter dances make me tear up every time!

This old soul was a dancing machine. Every time I turned around he had a different woman on his arm.

I think he finally caught up with his misses. How adorable is that?
