Lily Jane is the newest sweet baby girl in the Smith family. I was so tickled when Mommy (Lee) contacted me informing me they were expecting and that she knew she wanted me to photograph this 2nd baby! I have photographed Lily Jane’s big sister Kylee Joy since she was a week old. I couldn’t wait to see if Lily Jane would have the same scrunchy pug nose like her big sister did when she was born! She arrived and looked identical to her big sister but no sweet pug nose! She was so perfect for me and slept and slept while we posed her. Lee wanted more of them together than just the typical 2-3 shots so it was fun seeing Kylee hold her for their pictures. She was so gentle and never freaked out. So another perfect Smith baby is in the books. I already told Lee that since Lily Jane was so perfect she needed to have just one more for me to play with. Congrats Smith family! I am so so happy for y’all. I am honored to photograph both of your sweet girls!

Sweet little Brodie was born into one of my favorite families. I shot his older brother’s birth and first year and then got to meet up again when he turned 2! So photographing their second baby’s entrance into the world was like meeting up with old friends.

Brodie’s birth was a toss up. His Mommy wanted to try for a V-Bac so she could experience what she missed when she had a C-Section with big brother, Reed. Her body was in control and all we could do was cross our fingers and hope she progressed! She progressed pretty slowly, and the doctor came in and gave her 1 more hour. After that hour we would start talking about another C-Section. Well after that hour passed she went from 5cm-9cm! No C-Sections for this Momma! Kristi was amazing during delivery! She never gave up, never tired out or even screamed with frustration. The Alexander family welcomed their new baby boy, Brodie,  into the world and the first thing I remember her saying was that she would do that a million times over vs having another C-Section. Tears, tears and more tears (Me included).  I am so happy for this sweet family. Here’s Brodie’s birth story…
